Consumer Price Index, June 2021

The Consumer Price Inflation for Uganda for the 12 months to June 2021 rose by 2.0 percent, up from 1.9 percent in May 2021. This was mainly attributed to the Annual Food and Non-Alcoholic Beverages Inflation that increased to minus 1.6 percent for the 12 months to June 2021, up from minus 3.5 percent in May 2021. In addition, Annual inflation for ‘Housing, Water, Electricity, Gas and Other Fuels’ increased to minus 1.5 percent in June 2021, up from minus 1.7 percent and Furnishings, Household Equipment and Routine Household increaded to 0.8 percent in June 2021, up from 0.4 percent in May 2021. .….
